“TANTAVI-2008: is an attempt to showcase, under one umbrella, the exquisite and colourful handloom brocades developed by 25 Weavers’ Service Centres initiative of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles.

113 fabrics on display during the exhibition will represent the adept Weaver’s imagination and creativity transformed into myriad and colorful brocades on cotton, silks, zaris etc. These exhibitions will showcase the range in home furnishings, apparels and accessories designed and developed in close coordination with the national Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi and will help the discerning designers, exporters, manufactures and other textile professionals to assess the multifarious end use of the brocade fabrics.
